This is the laundry. It has storage and a washing machine and dryer (in one)!!

Now here we have the kids lounge. This is where the kids come to play there games and make their mess.

Here we have the teenage bedroom it is moody in a good way.

We are finished our house and it is amazing!!! Our features include 2 pools, a pizza oven, 2 dining areas and 2 water features (and those are whats on the roof). Inside we have a teenage bedroom, a kids bedroom, a master bedroom and a spare bedroom. We have a kitchen and dining are, a formal lounge and kids lounge and a deck. It also has a vegetable garden and a water slide that goes into the pool on the ground. We love our house.

We have a COMPLETE house!! Its sooooo exciting. Here are pictures of every room on the block. We have a teenagers bedroom, kids bedroom, adults bedroom, bathroom, hallway, kitchen and dining and a deck with a view!! It looks AMAZING

Today we did the downstairs bedroom on minecraft and the kids lounge. We also did the ensuite for the adults room and then now we are building the walls. We have really big plans for our fun but modern house and are really excited. We are on track and are doing really well. :)

This is our room 1 kids bedroom for the block. We only had about 10 minutes to do it because me and Janas computers werent really working. It was really hard but i know we can improve in the weeks to come. We made it spacey so kids can play and you can add your own touches and furniture. It is gender neutral and should be really fun to play in.

We are doing P2 minecraft. This week we are doing a kids room. It for 4-8 year olds. We are going to have gender neutral colors and make it a fun room with cool colors and lots of space for them to play. It's going to be amazing.

Aida

Today (the 16 September) the school went to see boys and girls high perform Aida the musical. It was set in the Egyptian times about a guy who had to marry the princess but fell in love with a servant and wanted to marry her her. It was like a love triangle. It was really good.

For science we have been using those $2 shop cars and seeing how far the go on: polished floor (hall) turf, concrete and carpet. after 5 goes the average was .25 cm on the turf and that was the worst :( The carpet was 10 cm which was the best on the carpet (or meters I'm not sure). Our car was blue (the best colour).
It was pretty fun.  

 

Goals for this term.

Maths: This term I want to learn my 6-9 timetables on the computer by doing timetable maths games and practising them in other ways. I will know I have achieved this because I will ask Mrs Hay to test me at the end of the term and get 100%.

Writing: This term I will make my stories more descriptive by using a thesaurus and add adjectives into my writing. At the end of the term I will ask you to mark a writing sample and will compare it to one at the beginning of the year.

Reading: My goal this term is to try reading different types of books (non fiction). I will achieve this by looking for nonfiction books in the library and reading them in silent reading and at reading time. I would also like to try different books like science fiction which I’ve never read before.

Personal goal: I would really love to get into the A team for netball and make at least two new friends.

NetballAt school I am in the year 7 and 8 A team. Our coach is Whaea Te Aroha. I play goal attack. Goal attack is my favourite position. I also like playing wing attack and sometimes goal defence. We do lots of  exercise and by the end of the year I think we'll be really good. We do exercises which help us stop stepping (with the ball) and defence skills. I think we have a good team. :) 

Best day ever!!

“I got tickets as soon as I realised the band was coming here!!” I tell Casey excitedly. “Me too! I got one for my Birthday!! We’ll pick you up! I can’t wait to go to the SWING IT SING IT band!!

When Casey picked me up I was incredibly excited. The SWING IT SING IT band is our favourite band. The dancers are awesome and the singers are sensational. As we went to our first class front row seats I saw thousands of people behind us. Casey said something but I couldn’t hear what she said over the deafening crowd.

The SWING IT SING IT band came out on motor bikes!! I could taste the dust that was on the vast stage. When they started singing FUN (there latest song) me and Casey sung along extremely loudly. We were obviously in perfect time with Cassidy (the lead singer). I sung so piercingly and did there amazingly funky moves.

It was the best day ever!! But guess what? They’re coming in four months!! We’ve already got tickets. I can’t wait to go again!! 

We have been reading a book at school called wonder and I described one of the characters called Summer

My tree

The light breeze blew the tree softly making the leaves whisper peacefully. The autumn leaves were yellow with a hint of green. A little fantail perched on the tree for a few minutes then swiftly moved on to the next tree. The sun burned brightly on the tree making the leaves glow.

All was peaceful.

Camp poem

Laughter filled the air as I paddle towards the others. When we start our long journey I hear people encouraging each other. The glittering estuary sparkles before my eyes. Colourful paddles nearly hit me as the people sway dangerously back and forward against the current. SPLASH suddenly I fall out. The water is very freezing. The salt water smelled gross. It tasted worse.

But I had a lot of fun.

My hiding space.

As she starts counting I am unsure where to hide. I’ve only got twenty seconds left. I stare out of the window and the cold rain falls down. Cold!! I have a brilliant idea. I sprint up the long staircase and into the cold space. My arms are freezing so I put on a black jacket hanging up and decide to put my feet under a pair of shoes.

Twice people look in the wardrobe but no one sees me. I hold my breath as they stare for any signs of a human. 10 minutes later I’m getting terrible pins and needles. Why did I hide here? I can’t move and its pitch black. At least it smells nice.

Smiling, I decide to call out. “I know I’ve won!”

They run up the stairs and look in the room where I’m in. Sneakily, I step out of the dark closet. J
